The photo book and gallery options have been shrinking rapidly here in New York City. I'm happy to say that there are three lovely new photography bookstores (!) and a gallery located in Soho called Clic. They come with a wonderful pedigree from Christiane Celle, the French-born founder of the wildly popular Calypso stores. And just in case you need an intriguing photo volume while on vacation, there are also bookstores located in East Hampton and St. Barth for your shopping pleasure.
Check out the lovely show called "Store Front," by James and Karla Murray at the 225 Centre Street location. As a collector and shooter of anything having to do with NYC signage, I loved every piece displayed. And the editioned prints are surprisingly affordable for those who would like to own a piece of NYC history.
